I borrowed to pay the costs of my marriage

I am a  student of a university in Malaysia. I do survive by some part time freelance job beside my study. I have got married recently (at the end of last year 2019). As I have had no savings, I had to took loan for my marriage and for corresponding expenses.

Debtors are now asking me to pay their money back

I took loan form my friends and relatives who could barely help me as they also suffer financial hardship. Now and because of Covid-19 crisis I do not have any freelance contracts for last few months while debtors (who has given loan to me) are asking to repay back their loans as they are now in crisis also. But I have no way to repay them at this moment as I have no savings. I am passing through very bad time and sad time as I don’t know what to do to repay my loans now. I am seeking your sincere du'a and support to repay my loans.

Here I am giving the approximate calculation of my debit and credit for the last eight months: Marriage cost: about MYR 18000/- Travel cost: about MYR 2500/- Food cost: about MYR 3300/- Accommodation cost: about MYR 2800/- Educational cost: about MYR 6000/- Medical Cost: about MYR 1500/- Total cost: about MYR 34100/- My total earning during this period was: about:  MYR 10500 So my loan amount so far is: MYR 23500/- For your information a valid cause to pay zakat is debt-ridden. So I think, you can consider to pay a part of zakat also for this cause.

Please help me overcome this ordeal

It was related on the authority of Abu Hurairah, radiyallahu ‘anhu, that the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, said: “Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter. Whoever alleviates [the situation of] one in dire straits who cannot repay his debt, Allah will alleviate his lot in both this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals [the faults of] a Muslim, Allah will conceal [his faults] in this life and the Hereafter.” (Muslim)
