Background of the story

In response to the humanitarian call which was launched by the local authorities, in which it declared that the city of Tarim is a disaster city. 
An embodiment of the principle of humanity and solidarity, the Basma Foundation for the Development of Children and Women sent an urgent distress appeal to international organizations, bodies and donors to provide emergency and urgent assistance to families affected by the disasters of rain and torrents in the city of Tarim that occurred on Sunday evening, 20  Ramadan, in 2 May.

450 families need protection, shelter and provision of primary and private psychological support 
According to recent statistics by the General Committee for the Management and Treatment of Tarim Streams (the General Relief Committee), the President of the Foundation, Mr. Mohammad  bin Obaidoun,   emphasized  that there are  450 families need protection, shelter and provision of primary and private psychological support as a result of the trauma of the horrific situation, the families Refuged  to schools and their relatives' homes, and the demolition of homes  Serious damage to them and a number of deaths while fleeing their homes and demolishing them on their heads.

The President of the Foundation called for the need of a rapid intervention and an urgent response to provide shelter, protection and reconstruction of totally and partly destroyed homes.
