Ramadan Iftar food for poor orphans in India

Darul Irshad (India) is an Islamic center and an orphanage (Yateem Khana) with full and part-time memorization programs and Islamic studies classes. We are taking care of more than 100 orphans and homeless children in their academy. We provide the orphans with education, food, and shelter.

Feed and Educate Orphans

Darul Irshad (India) currently has more than 100 orphans under its care.

Every year, other than our children staying in an orphanage, 200 poor children also come to Darul Irshad to break the fast (Iftar). However, this year due to covid-19 and flood crises we could not raise many funds to secure food for our orphans and poor children. Therefore, we have a fear that this Ramadan our orphan’s guests would go hungry, suffer due to shortage of food supply, and thus feel depressed during the holy month.

The objective of this campaign:

Ramadan shows us a little bit of what hunger feels like. Let us put that lesson into action by helping those who experience real hunger. Our vision is to help break the cycle of poverty by empowering orphans.

With your donations, we will also be able to buy food and essentials to keep the cost of running the orphanages manageable in this Ramadan 2022.
