This project is a distinguished intervention in which WHHU help poor and orphan student between the ages of 6 – 14 years old continue their education and contribute to alleviating the financial burden of their poor parents.

Children in Gaza still don't know if they will be able to go back to school this year as deepening poverty and continuing insecurity. WHHU is keen to implement this project at the beginning of the academic year which will be in September 2022.

The economic crisis, which is increasing day after day has negatively affected many families in Palestine where most of them lost their sources of livelihood, thus their children can no longer afford to get their educational needs, and thousands of children are awaiting the start of the new academic year but their return to their schools is uncertain. Their poor families cannot afford the school supplies, uniforms, or fees.

In Palestine, the direct and indirect costs of education associated with school uniforms, school bags, stationery, and transportation in addition to the cost of the fee, are putting more burden on poor families. According to UNICEF, the families in Palestine spend, more than 15% of their income on education-related expenses.

WHHU is responding with the delivery of school uniforms, bags, and stationery supplies to the neediest, poor, and orphan students in primary schools of the Gaza Strip. The project has a good impact on the poor and destitute groups that cannot provide their children with the educational needs necessary for their studies.
