Provide Iftar to Families In Gaza - Ramadan charity campaigns 2023

The year 2022 was a harsh year for more than two million citizens in the Gaza Strip who live in this part of Palestine.

It is clear from the foregoing the extent of the suffering experienced by the residents of the Strip, as the past year brought many tragedies and economic crises.

The poor and needy families do not have enough food for their day, and they hope that the difficult economic situation that most groups of society suffer from will improve, including the employed as well as the unemployed. And the month of Ramadan comes, when people's need to provide their basic necessities increases in this holy month, and accordingly, it is necessary to extend a helping hand to these families.

Gaza Strip suffers from a blockade and imposition of restrictions on all land, which has negatively affected the social, economic and psychological life of Palestinians, especially for marginalized and needy groups such as orphans.

All indications confirm that the Gaza Strip is not currently on the brink of collapse, but has entered a very difficult stage, as it has become a model for the largest prison in the world without reconstruction, crossings, water, electricity and work.

Among the most important justifications that prompted the submission of such 

 project:

 • Clearly increasing poverty rates among families

•  Increased severity of the suffocating economic crisis experienced   by needy families

Since its establishment, the association has worked in many diverse social projects that contribute to supporting and assisting poor and needy families and orphans. Among the most prominent of these projects Ramadan projects including food parcels, purchasing vouchers, the vegetable parcels project, the charitable loaf and breakfast meals. It is worth to mention that these projects have a clear impact on serving the poor and needy and alleviating their suffering

Among the most important justifications that prompted the submission of such a project:

The tightened blockade on the Gaza Strip has become a threat to the food security of about 70% of families, as more than 80% live below the poverty line.

An increase in unemployment rates that has reached 55%.

The increase in the number of the unemployed to reach 300 thousand unemployed.

The need of the Palestinian people for food in Ramadan, when the demand for basic commodities for homes increases

A shortage of international aid that used to reach poor and needy families, which doubled the suffering of the people of Gaza, especially the poor and destitute families who used to live on this aid.

Through this project, contributions will be made to provide basic Ramadan requirements for needy families. It is expected that tens of thousands of families in all governorates of the Gaza Strip will benefit from the project through the implementation of several projects, which are the following Ramadan projects:

• The fasting breakfast project.

• Food parcels project

• Zakat and alms project

• The vouchers project

The following is a detailed explanation of the projects that will be implemented by the Palestinian Orphan Home Association during the month of Ramadan 2023:

First / food parcels project

The Ramadan parcels project comes within the projects implemented by the Palestinian Orphan Home Association to alleviate the suffering of our people amid the difficult economic conditions they are going through in the Gaza Strip. This project comes to meet the basic needs of poor and needy families, orphans and other marginalized groups, where parcels containing basic foodstuffs are distributed, and during this holy month work will be done to prepare and distribute 1000 food parcels to make the hearts of the poor happy in all governorates of the Gaza Strip.

Second / Iftar project (food meals)

The Iftar project for poor families in Gaza is to provide an Iftar meal of rice, chicken, yogurt and a soft drink during the month of Ramadan for the needy and needy families to fill their needs and alleviate their suffering in light of the difficult living conditions that the Gaza Strip is going through.

Third / Zakat and alms project

The charity and zakat project for the month of Ramadan for poor families in Gaza revolves around distributing a cash amount to them so that they can buy their needs during the month of Ramadan for the needy families to alleviate their suffering in light of the difficult living conditions that the Gaza Strip is going through.

Fourth / the vouchers project

The vouchers project for poor families in Gaza revolves around providing a voucher for the needy and needy families so that they can buy their needs and alleviate their suffering in light of the difficult living conditions that the Gaza Strip is going through.

The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: A Muslim is the brother of a fellow-Muslim. He should neither commit oppression upon him nor ruin him, and he who meets the need of a brother, Allah would meet big needs, and he who relieved a Muslim from hardship Allah would relieve him from the hardships to which he would be put on the Day of Resurrection, and he who did not expose (the follies of a Muslim) Allah would conceal his follies on the Day of Resurrection.
