Covid-19 Fighter Project
AHIBS/UTM Post Graduate Students
Hospital workers are dealing with a huge influx of patients, while also facing a lack of equipment in many cases and the fear of becoming infected themselves. Often, they face heartbreaking decisions while treating their patients.
The atmosphere here is not like a normal workplace, but a battlefield. Many healthcare workers are sleeping in hotels or converted student dormitories, afraid of infecting their families.
What they are doing is superhuman. There’s no price for the work of healthcare workers, they’re in the service of humanity.
With a limited number of intensive care rooms and ventilators. The doctors are burdened with horrific judgments. Many are afraid to go home after work out of fear that they might transmit the disease to their families and children who spontaneously and out of happiness would jump on their Mom and Dad when seeing them back from hospital.
because of personal protective equipment (PPE) shortage due to inadequate PPE supply. Doctors, nurses and other medical staff at Malaysian hospitals are treating Covid-19 patients in DIY protection gear made from everyday items like dustbin liners, which make their safety in danger.
At present, a number of 19 medical front liners have come down with Covid-19, of which 11 are now warded in intensive care.
believing in our social responsibility towards medical front liners who fight corona virus to keep our community , AHIBS/UTM post graduate students decided to contribute in solving the problem and overcoming the crises through providing them with the essential personal protection equipment (PPE)
1-To provide the front liners with adequate supply of PPE during the Covid-19 crisis
2- To motivate and support front liners for their dedications and sacrifices
3-To give opportunity for all our community members to show appreciation and respect for our dedicated front liners.
Do you know that one piece of PPE is only RM30 !?
you never know that a small amount of money can help save the life of someone and alleviate the pain of many!
This is why we need your help for us to get through this. Each donation you send to us is critically important and each year, we rely on your continued support.
