A real tragedy that a 14 years old Yemeni girl Nahla suffers from.
She fells at her home months ago as her spine was injured, resulting in a paraplegia. At this moment, Nahla does not feel her lower limbs and cannot move them, and became bed ridden due to a spinal injury.
She has been in bed for a long time because she suffers from a lack of control in urine and dropping stool.
Nahla, was sent to hospital where doctors have recommended a quick surgery for the wounds caused by bedsores during a period not exceeding two weeks.
However, due to the current situation in Yemen the family has struggled to raise fund for her treatment, and as a result she has developed really bedsores (pictures below) which need urgent attention.
The surgery cost was beyond her father’s capability as he is just a simple worker whose income is limited and has become almost non-existent due to the war conditions and the economic crisis that Yemen is passing through now.
Fortunately, Nahla’s family, with the help of some cooperating people and generous donors, was able to collect the required amount for the operation to be performed on the level of ulcers.
Now, the family need to raise an amount of RM7700 related to spine surgery.
Experiencing paralysis at the spine level would directly result in a sever chronic back pain, it can feel very isolating and it is a painful thing for the girl child first as it shatters her hope for life and future and then it is a big distress also for her family, who is already suffering from the ravages of poverty and poor financial situation, not to mention the tragedies of the war in Yemen.
Hence, it would be merciful and grateful to help Nahla see light again and have hope in her life by donating the following amount of money RM7,700
Handful of mercy
Every one of us will at some point in life experience some type of hardship od pain that hurts. It is, therefore, a humanitarian call to extend a hand of help to restore life to Nahla.
