The best charitable deeds in the last ten days

The last ten days of Ramadan bring with them the blessings of mercy and forgiveness. These are the days marked by multiplying rewards and the arrival of the Night of Power, which is better than a thousand months. During these blessed nights, charitable people compete in giving, seeking great reward and blessings in this world and the hereafter. One of the greatest acts of charity that can be offered during these days is charitable work that addresses the needs of the poor and needy and extends a helping hand to them. Charitable work is not limited to charity alone; it encompasses everything that brings joy to a Muslim's heart, from feeding the poor, relieving distress, sponsoring orphans, supporting needy families, and other acts of goodness that Islam has enjoined upon us.

How can we utilize the last ten days to expand our charitable work?

The last ten days of Ramadan are not merely days that conclude the holy month; rather, they are a great opportunity to strengthen charitable work and expand it to reach the largest possible number of those in need. As the rewards and blessings of these blessed days and nights increase, it becomes essential to develop well-thought-out strategies to maximize impact, both at the individual and institutional levels. Some of these strategies are listed below:

1. Effective Planning and Coordination:

One of the most important ways to expand charitable work during the last ten days is to plan ahead and develop a clear plan that includes the most pressing priorities and needs. You can collaborate with charitable organizations or organize volunteer teams to implement projects more quickly and efficiently.

2. Increase Donations and Efforts:

Individuals can increase their donations during these days, whether through cash or in-kind donations, such as distributing iftar and suhoor meals, providing assistance to needy families, and supporting endowment projects that benefit long-term goals.

Companies and venture capitalists can also launch expanded charitable initiatives.

3. Leverage the Power of Social Media:

By publishing inspiring stories, launching online donation campaigns, and sharing charitable projects on social media platforms, you can reach a greater number of people and motivate them to contribute.

4. Supporting Sustainable Projects:

Instead of providing only temporary assistance, the last ten days of Ramadan can be used to support long-term projects, such as sponsoring orphans, building homes for poor families, providing sustainable sources of income for the needy, financing small businesses, or offering educational grants.

5. Exploiting the Virtue of Laylat al-Qadr:

Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months, is a golden opportunity to double your giving. It is a good idea to allocate a daily donation during the last ten days of Ramadan, while increasing your giving during the odd-numbered nights.

6. Involving Family and Friends:

Charity can be strengthened by encouraging family members and friends to participate, whether through group donations or volunteering in field charitable activities. This instills a culture of giving within the community.

The Importance of Helping the Poor and Needy in the Last Ten Days of Ramadan

Giving charity to the poor during the last ten days of Ramadan is one of the best deeds for which Allah rewards. The importance of helping the poor and needy during these blessed days is evident for several reasons, the most important of which are:

Double rewards:

Charity during Ramadan in general, and during the last ten days in particular, is multiplied, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best charity is charity in Ramadan" (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi).

Any assistance given to the poor opens a door of mercy and elevates a person's status with Allah, especially if it coincides with the Night of Decree.

Achieving social solidarity:

Helping the needy strengthens the spirit of solidarity and mutual support among members of society, bridges the poverty gap, and brings everyone into the Ramadan atmosphere with joy and happiness. This holy month is not just about fasting and praying; it is a month of empathy for others and empathy for their suffering.

Bringing joy to the hearts of the poor:

During these blessed days, everyone strives to worship and rejoice in the Ramadan atmosphere, but there are those who cannot even provide their daily sustenance or Eid clothing for their children. Helping here is not limited to money alone; it also includes food, clothing, and debt repayment, making the poor feel the joy of Ramadan and Eid like everyone else.

Investing in Laylat al-Qadr in giving:

Laylat al-Qadr, which is better than a thousand months, is a great opportunity to multiply your giving. The amount donated may be credited with the reward of charity for 83 years or more. What a great investment that makes giving long-lasting and its impact lasting.

Expiating Sins and Bringing Blessings:

Charity is a means of forgiving sins and bringing blessings in one's livelihood. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire" (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi).

Giving also brings goodness and increase, as God has promised in His words: {And whatever you spend - He will replace it} (Saba': 39).

Establishing a Culture of Giving in Society:

When an individual is committed to helping those in need, they instill a culture of giving within their family and community, making charitable work an ongoing habit that extends throughout the year, not just during Ramadan.

Therefore, helping the poor during the last ten days of Ramadan is a great act of worship that brings happiness to both parties and elevates the status of believers before God. Let us make the most of these blessed days by doubling our giving and bringing joy to the hearts of those in need, so that we may attain God's pleasure and grace.

Charity and Iftar for Fasting People are charitable acts that multiply rewards and blessings.

In the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan, good deeds multiply and the doors of mercy and forgiveness are opened.

Charitable acts during these ten days, such as charity and iftar for fasting people, are among the greatest acts of worship through which a servant draws closer to his Lord.

The following are their most prominent virtues:

- Charity in Ramadan: It is one of the greatest acts of worship that Muslims compete in. It purifies the soul from stinginess and helps relieve the distress of those in need. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best charity is charity in Ramadan" (narrated by al-Tirmidhi).

- Iftar for fasting people: It is one of the deeds for which God has promised a great reward. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever provides iftar for a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without that being diminished from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest" (narrated by al-Tirmidhi).

Just by offering an iftar meal or even a date and water, a Muslim receives the reward of fasting twice.

Therefore, charitable work during the last ten days of Ramadan has a significant impact. The Night of Power may fall on the night, and the rewards of those who do so may be equivalent to the reward of a thousand months of worship.

How to Support Charitable Projects During the Last Ten Days of Ramadan

In the last ten days of Ramadan, many ways emerge to support charitable projects that contribute to improving the lives of the poor and needy, in line with the spirit of giving that characterizes this blessed month. We can utilize these virtuous days to direct efforts toward charitable works that enhance social stability and meet the basic needs of individuals.

One of the most prominent ways to support charitable work during these blessed days is to support programs that provide food and clothing to those in need, especially in light of rising prices and the difficulty of accessing these resources in some areas. Educational projects for orphans can also be supported to enable them to access educational opportunities that guarantee a better future.

Initiatives that focus on financing small projects for poor families are also an effective means of economic empowerment, providing them with sustainable employment opportunities and reducing their dependence on aid.

Thus, the last ten days of Ramadan remain a golden opportunity to draw closer to God through giving and generosity, as charity has a multiplier effect during these blessed days.

By uniting our efforts and working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of individuals and communities, reflecting the values of cooperation and solidarity embodied in this holy month.
