Papua New Guinea (PNG) is a large island nation situated near Indonesia and Australia in the southwestern Pacific.
Papua New Guinea is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. As of 2019, it is also the most rural, as only 13.25% of its people live in urban centres. There are 851 known languages in the country, of which 11 now have no known speakers. Most of the population of more than 8,000,000 people live in customary communities, which are as diverse as the languages. There are an estimated 5,000 Muslim only in the country which is predominantly Christian.
We are looking for righteous brothers and sisters to help the young small Muslim community in Papua New Guinea.
Alhamdulillah, in Popondetta , Northern Province, PNG the community has registered PNG Nur Education Center to provide secular and Islamic Education services to both Muslim and non-Muslim children in the area. We intend to establish education for grades 1-12. This is in compliance with the policies of the educational system in PNG.
Our center is keen to buy a 25 seater bus to help generate income to support our dawah activities and center and to develop Islam in the Northern Province of PNG.
We will own, manage and maintain the bus. The cost of the 25 seater bus is approximately K68,000 (USD19,000). The bus will be used to generate income by providing transportation services in the region. The income will be used to cover the bus expenses including: fuel, maintenance, tyres, driver and off-siders wages and registration fees. The profits will also be used to buy homes and lease them out to generate income for the center. Income will be distributed to the poor Muslims to encourage them to start their own businesses.
