Introduction

The Gaza Strip has endured—and continues to endure—a devastating war that has left behind catastrophic humanitarian consequences. Among the most heart-injuring of these is the loss of one or both parents for more than 35,000 children, leaving them vulnerable to deprivation and   psychological and social instability

Losing parental care poses a profound challenge in a child’s life, making it difficult to secure basic needs such as food, shelter, education, and healthcare. The children of Gaza are now in dire need of compassion and support to help them cope with the suffering, loss, and horrors of war, where fear, hunger, and scarcity have stripped them of even the most basic means of survival

Now more than ever, a comprehensive and sustainable approach to orphan care is urgently needed—to help these children overcome trauma and build a more stable future. They require holistic support that goes beyond immediate relief, enabling them to heal, grow, and become self-reliant, contributing members of society

About the Campaign

The "Ghiras" Campaign is a humanitarian and developmental initiative designed to provide a safe and stable environment for orphans of the 2023 Gaza War. Through education, healthcare, psychological support, and vocational training, the campaign aims to empower these children, fostering self-sufficiency and hope for a better future. It follows a comprehensive care model to address their various needs in a balanced and integrated manner

Education: From early childhood through secondary school

Healthcare and Psychological Support: Addressing medical and emotional needs

Vocational Training: For orphans aged 16 and above who are not enrolled in formal education

Financial Breakdown of the Campaign

Kindergarten Sponsorship: $100 per month per orphan

School Uniforms & bags: $200 per student for 1,000 children

Academic Support Programs: $100 per month per student for basic education reinforcement programs in learning centers across Gaza

Vocational Training: For 300 orphans aged 16 and above who are not enrolled in formal education

Medical Care & Rehabilitation: Including treatment for disabled orphans and provision of necessary assistive tools

Psychosocial Support & Talent Development: Through extracurricular activities, therapy programs, and skills-building initiatives
