Qurban for Elderly people, Orphans, Widows and Less Privilege in Morocco

The blessed month of Dhul Hijjah is approaching and with it the celebratory days of Eid-ul-Adha! Many of us have plans to go to a farm with our family this Eid and uphold the Sunnah of our Prophet (SAW) by sacrificing an animal and sharing the meat. However, there are some members of this Ummah who aren’t able to partake in this blessed act and are in need of our support. 

There In morocco, people who live in poor neighborhoods their Eid feast turns from an opportunity for joy to an occasion of sadness in which the taste of happiness has been lost, and the days of this religious celebration go through them with bitterness and sadness. These poor and destitute families who are compelled by the severity of poverty and the financial deficit are obliged to just site  and hide themselves from views on the day of Eid and cry out of deficiency that they are in fact unable to buy the Qurban sacrifices and enjoy the Eid celebration, simply because their financial situation  does not allow them to do so and this is because they are either  elderly people who can’t support themselves and are unable to work, and the widowed women who need to struggle and work from hand to month to feed their kids and look out for other expenses like rent, water and electricity bills. Add to that the poor families, orphans and underprivileged people who suffer financially throughout the year due to their job that earns them basic wages which only brings basic food and nothing more at all. 

Who are we? 

Dar Al- Andalus is a nonprofit/charity Association located in Belgium and  focused on providing aid and support to the underprivileged, elderly people, widowed women, orphan and destitute families living in poor neighborhood in Morocco.

Our vision 

We seek to improve the lives and social well-being and shaping the futures of vulnerable families, elderly woman and man, orphan children.

Implemented programs 

We, have implemented several projects that are duly approved by the Government of Morocco As part of our ambition and goals to help and support the most and highly needy people, Last year and Dar Al Andalus organized Many charitable programs and activities to collect donation in favor of Moroccan orphan children and for the benefit of widowed women in.

In the last month of Ramadan, hundreds of food baskets had been distributed to those affected by the outbreak of Covid-19 and thousands of meals were given to refugees in Belgium.
