Quality Education: A Community Commitment
As a part of community based organization, 2nd Chance program would like to give better education to HIV-infected and affected children.
We also would like to encourage the children to continue learning for them to have better opportunities in their future despite the difficulties, poverty, and stigma they encounter. Therefore, this campaign is organized aiming to raise funds for psychoeducation programs provided by our 2nd Chance team. This fundraising is intended for the foundation's 2nd Chance program which largely provides psychosocial support and academic mentorship and empowerment programs including basic skills for HIV-infected and affected children and caregivers. We aim to provide sustainable care, hope, and opportunities for poor mothers, youth, and children who are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Most of our children are from low-income and broken families.
Most children are suffering from poor academic performance as they are not attending school regularly due to poverty and discrimination due to their HIV status. Some children are survivors of domestic and sexual abuse; some are engaging in delinquent activities. Therefore, we would like to encourage them to engage in psychoeducation programs that can encourage them academically and increase their motivation despite the stigma and difficulties they are having.
