Supporting the wounded students in Gaza

For more than one year, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been protesting along the fence with Israel demanding their right to return to the homes and land their families were expelled from 70 year ago.

To date, the total number of wounded has reached 30398. 136 of them are amputated. The number of injuries in youth was approximately 20,000. Additionally, the number of students injured in the great march of return reached 7000 students. Basically, 70% of universities students cannot pay their tuition fees due to rising costs in various aspects of life, which emerged as a result of bad political and economic conditions, which caused by the attempts of the Israeli occupation clamp down and continuous of imposing siege on the Gaza Strip, also destruction of infrastructure and the high rate of poverty and unemployment.

All of these influence the financing of education of universities. In some way, the lack of funds that meet with the needs of students for the coming years will increase in their suffering; in order suffering of higher education institutions that are suffering from large deficits in their budgets. General Objective Contribute to the empowerment of the educational process and empowering injured students of university to continue their study.

Project objectives – Distribution of cash assistances to (100) wounded students of university, by contribute to pay part of the premiums university study for them by coordination with the departments of universities in Gaza strip. – Contribute to encourage injured students to continue their university education and to enable them to provide the necessary basic education needs for them during the semester. The project targets a number (100) a wounded student , with a budget desired (200,000RM); so for every student get (2000 RM). to cover the tuition fees for 1 semester
