BRIEF BACKGROUND:

In the spirit of the mission carried out by Yasiva Charity Organisation Limited that is towards supporting the neediest Muslims in Uganda. In most general, Yasiva charity organization Limited is trying to provide iftar support and care in all fields possible (include food, water, health and relief assistance, etc) In light of that spirit, the organization is keen on implement its food box- Uganda Project. The contents of this food box would include food items necessary for daily life. This very important program comes within the framework of Yasiva charity Organisation Limited efforts to alleviate the suffering of poor and needy Muslim families of Uganda.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

Providing iftar/breaking fast meals for the needy fasting people of Uganda in East Africa

Feeding the needy Muslims in the holy month of Ramadan

To provide spirit of compassion and solidarity among the Muslim Ummah

To provide the opportunity for the good and generous individuals to donate and provide support to feed the needy fasting Muslims in the holy month of Ramadan

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

During the current pandemic of the dangerous virus of COVID-19, many of our Muslim brothers and sisters lost their monthly income, furthermore, Yasiva Charity Organisation have many needy Muslims depending on Her income and support, moreover they face a lot of challenges like lack of basic needs like food, water, good medical care, shelter and education to those who goes to school. The holy month of Ramadan is a good and compassionate month, a month in which thousands of the needy Muslims are waiting for foods and daily supplies from those who are caring and kind enough to give a big supporting hand. In this holy month also, YASIVA plans to provide iftar meals and ready meals to support the needy masjids and orphanage centres in Uganda

PROCEDURAL STEPS:

1. Raise funds for the entire project of Iftar

2. Identify the real needy Muslims at masjids

3. Coordinate the delivery of the food boxes to the needy Muslims in Uganda

4. Carry out transparency distribution of the Food boxes by YASIVA supporting team to the homes of the needy and beneficiaries to the said project of Iftar.

5. Lastly make regular report about the entire exercise of the project.
