Donate shoes for needy children from Sri Lanka

This project as the theme, ' Donate shoes for needy children from Sri Lanka' indicates, will create a desire for gaining of education as a lot of children who are living in rural areas of Sri Lanka will go to school to benefit from the assistance and support that will be provided for them through donation of footwears to encourage them stay in school.

The primary problem is illiteracy resulting from lack of motivation due to unavailability or lack of educational materials such as footwears, uniforms, writing materials, etc as a result of excruciating poverty in rural areas.

This project will create a desire for the gaining of school as the children will go to school to benefit from the assistance / support that will be provided for them through donation of footwears to encourage them stay in school.

Through this project, children in rural areas in Sri Lanka go to school in proper footwears in Joy and comfort there by increasing their desire for education.

About us 

“Muslim Hands International” (MHI) is an international aid agency founded in 1993 in response to the Bosnian crisis. It has grown in to non-profit organization working over 30 countries worldwide, responding to emergencies and establishing long term projects like schools, healthcare clinics and livelihood interventions. MHI was active in Sri Lanka through local partners since the 2004 Tsunami disaster, but has only formally setup its country office in 2008. with an aim to provide humanitarian and development aid to victims of disasters, poverty, food insecurity, etc. Muslim Hands Sri Lanka (MHSL) works in the following sectors: Education for Orphans, Water and Environment, Livelihoods, Health, Food Security and Emergency.

Meantime MHSL has obtained local registration from Sri Lanka Ministry of Social Service (Registration Number - Pu/San/08/24) and registered under the Companies Act of Sri Lanka as a nonprofit social service company (Registration No.GA 3213).
