Somalia is facing a humanitarian catastrophe due to drought and desertification, resulting in a severe food shortage and the widespread outbreak of famine. This, in addition to ongoing conflicts and consecutive events, has claimed the lives of many, displaced millions, destroyed crops, dried up water sources, and left the fate of children and women in dire circumstances, surrounded by risks from every direction.

I am BRI Mukhtar Pasha, 62 years old, and I, along with my family of 8, have sought refuge in this place in search of a means to survive.

Our last days in our village were filled with hunger and thirst, and when we couldn't find anything to eat or drink, we made the decision to leave behind our memories and dreams.

Our journey was long and painful, with no specific destination in sight. The feeling of despair sometimes overwhelmed our hearts. We left, not knowing where we were headed, until we reached the village of Boulamrir. There, we found shelter in the home of a kind-hearted soul who allowed us to stay. We possess nothing and rely on the generosity of good-hearted people and some small jobs I undertake. Yet, there are times when we can't find enough to eat, and my children go to sleep hungry.

Your donations will provide them with a food basket that can sustain them for an entire month. If each of us contributes, even a little, we can ensure they have food for an extended period.
