Before the devastating war in the Gaza Strip

There were more than 30,000 young men and women in the Gaza Strip working online in various fields (programmers, graphic designers, marketers, accountants, and many other fields), and they were divided between employees under contracts with companies outside the Gaza Strip or freelancers working Via online operating platforms.

Since the first day of the war, and with the beginning of the power and internet outage, most of these young men and women lost their employment contracts and the projects they were working on with clients outside Gaza, and thus they lost their source of income, which was the only refuge for them and their families in light of the difficult economic situation. that the sector passes through.

The conditions continued for several months without these young men being able to return to work.

And from here came the idea of ​​Taqat as an alternative to humanitarian relief, which represents for these young men and girls who were filling the surroundings with energy and vitality, and represents for them an insult to their abilities and competence, so our slogan to the world outside the Gaza Strip was, “You want to help them with their work,” since this group of young people Girls just need a chance to return to life and support themselves and their families.

We, in the Taqat team, began continuous work in order to lay the foundations for the initiative. We started with simple capabilities, represented by a few solar panels and a limited-speed internet line. Thanks to the charitable people who supported us, we have so far been able to help 60 young men and women regain their businesses and we have been able to establish... An electronic operating platform dedicated to linking energies within the Gaza Strip to the global and Arab market.

Through your support, we will be able to:

1- Developing the energy system in the current workspace located in the city of Deir al-Balah to accommodate another 40 people, bringing the total number to 100 people 

2- Renting and equipping another place that can accommodate 100 new young men and women for a period of 6 months, so that the project is free and the costs are covered during this period.

3- Work to develop the Taqat Employment Platform to be the first Palestinian window dedicated to linking Palestinian Taqat with the global and Arab market.

How will the donation amount be disbursed:

Purchasing panels for the power system for the current workspace, 10 panels, at a price of $10,000 (the price is high due to the war. The normal price of a power panel before the war was $200, but now it is $1,000)

Purchasing 4 200 amp batteries for the power system of the current workspace in Jire al-Balah at a price of $5,000 (I feel that the price of one battery at the present time reaches 5,000 shekels, equivalent to approximately $1,400)

Purchasing additional office furniture worth $5,000 (desks + chairs) to accommodate an additional 40 people.
The total development of the current workspace in Deir El-Balah is $20,000

Renting a new place to accommodate 100 people for 6 months at a value of $20,000 (current rent prices are very high due to the large amount of destruction and the lack of buildings relative to the number of residents)

Installing a solar energy system sufficient to cover the needs of 100 people at a value of $30,000

Installing internet equipment in the new place and covering an internet bill for 6 months worth $4500 (the cost of internet line equipment is $3700 and a monthly Fiber 500 internet subscription worth $300 per month)

Purchasing office furniture worth $10,000 (desks and chairs for 100 people)

Covering the expenses of management and logistical services for managing the new place at a value of $1,000 per month, with a total value of $6,000 (including rewards for volunteers who are authorized to complete the cleaning and follow-up of the place, a project coordinator who works on managing the place, attendance and departure, and technical support that takes care of Internet matters and problems)

Developing a special networking platform for cards to be a window for these young men and women to the world at a cost of $5,000
Reserve expenses for breakdowns and emergencies amounting to $5,000
