Nourishing the Young Hearts of the Ummah

Every day, hundreds of children attend IDM Madrasahs across South Africa — eager to learn the Qur’an, Hadith, and Islamic values.
But many of them come to class hungry, coming from disadvantaged homes and rural communities.

Through the IDM Madrasah Feeding Scheme, we aim to provide daily nutritious meals to students at 36 IDM Centres and Madrasahs across the country — ensuring that no child studies the Deen on an empty stomach.

Why This Project Matters

A child who is hungry cannot focus, learn, or grow.
For many of these learners, the meal they receive at the Madrasah is their only meal of the day.

• Average cost per meal per student: $1.50
• Each meal provides a child with essential nourishment and energy for learning.
