Appeal for waqaf to complete an Islamic Medical Centre in Cambodia

Appeal for waqf for completing an Islamic Medical Center in Rondeng Village, Stung Trang, Cambodia.

The Cambodia Muslim Rashidy Association (“CMRA”), an Islamic NGO has undertaken a project to build an Islamic Medical Centre in Kampung Rondeng, Thalaborewath. The Medical Centre has been built with funds (waqf) contributed privately by Malaysian donors. It is now about 80% complete and they have now run out of funds. CMRA now appeals to you for your generous contribution to completing the Medical Center.

The aim of building an Islamic Medical Centre is to provide low-cost medical services to the residents around the district who would otherwise travel about 2 hours to the nearest Government hospital. Muslim residents constitute about 30% of the population in the district. Although the initial spur to build the medical center is to make it easy for Muslim women to consult and be examined by a Muslimah doctor, the medical center is open to everyone, Muslims or non-Muslims.

The Medical Centre will be staffed with 5 full-time Muslim doctors in a diverse specialist field.

In order to fully complete the physical building, buy the furniture and install aircon plus basic medical equipment, another RM35,000 is needed to complete and open the Medical Centre.

CMRA appeals to generous Malaysians to help finish the last leg of this noble project in Cambodia.
