Tiada Lagi Tempat Bergantung
***Scroll Down for English Version***
Bayangkan perasaan seorang suri rumah miskin, apabila satu-satunya tempat bergantung suami pergi buat selama-lamanya.
Sasaran Kempen: RM6,470 (Untuk 3 Bulan Termasuk Kos Pengurusan)

***ENGLISH***
A single mother is often defined as a woman left to raise her children alone, whether due to the death of a husband or separation. For Rosniwati binti Gusmin Harahap, her reality as a single mother began in early June 2024, when her beloved husband passed away. She now resides in Kampung Sungai Kertas, Batu Caves, Selangor.
Imagine the pain of a poor housewife who suddenly loses the one person she depended on the pillar of her household, gone forever. Now, every responsibility rests entirely on her shoulders. As the saying goes:
"The burden may be hard to witness, but it’s heavier still to carry."
Armed with only her physical strength and a small sum received from charity meant for orphans, Rosniwati used it as makeshift capital to start a small food stall hoping to repay it someday when she could. Her eldest son, just 24, had to stop his studies to help his mother sell chicken satay by the roadside.
But due to their poor living conditions and lack of proper equipment and funds, their humble business has struggled to survive, let alone support daily expenses.
Previously, when her husband was still alive and healthy, she sold fish in small quantities to make ends meet. Now, she is left as a widow caring for four children the youngest being an 11-year-old girl. Her late husband did not leave behind any inheritance, and the house they currently live in is rented at RM500 per month.
At present, the family receives monthly zakat assistance of RM500.
Recently, the Ensany team visited Rosniwati’s home in person and what we saw was heartbreaking. They are clearly among the asnaf (the rightful recipients of zakat), and desperately in need of community support. After a thorough discussion with the family, Ensany has agreed to launch an emergency aid campaign for them.
Campaign Target: RM6,470
(To Support the Family for 3 Months Including Management Cost)
| Basic Needs | Amount (RM) |
|---|---|
| House rent (RM500 x 3 months) | RM1,500 |
| Groceries & kitchen essentials (RM600 x 3 months) | RM1,800 |
| Children’s school expenses (RM150 x 3 months) | RM450 |
| Utility bills (Electricity & Water, RM100 x 4 months) | RM400 |
| Essential equipment (gas stove, etc.) | RM400 |
| Business startup capital | RM1,200 |
| Subtotal | RM5,750 |
| + Campaign management cost | RM720 |
| Total Campaign Target | RM6,470 |
If this campaign reaches its goal, Ensany will assist in purchasing the necessary equipment and tools to help Rosniwati rebuild her small business and regain her independence — a critical step in breaking free from the cycle of poverty, in shaa Allah.
As Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Give them from the wealth of Allah which He has entrusted to you.”
(Surah An-Nur, 24:33)
Give With a Purpose:
- A morning charity (Sedekah Subuh)
- Friday charity (Sedekah Jumaat)
- In hope of healing
- For your children’s success in exams
- For marriage
- For a job opportunity
- To seek protection from calamity
- Or to cleanse wealth that may be doubtful (syubhah) channel it to a campaign like this
And if you’re unable to give, then share this campaign with others. Even that is a form of charity.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like the one who did it.”
(Sahih Muslim, 1893)
And Allah says:
“Race towards forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous — those who spend [in the way of Allah] during ease and hardship...”
(Surah Ali-Imran, 3:133–134)
Let us not let Rosniwati carry this burden alone. Together, we can restore her dignity, help her children stay in school, and give this family hope again.
