Ongoing charity, particularly through initiatives like providing water, is among the most rewarding deeds we can engage in during our lives, reaping its rewards both in this world and the hereafter.
"Saqiya al-Ma'a" translates to providing water to those in need while preserving its source and utilizing its benefits, such as digging wells or creating rivers. It was narrated from Sa'd bin 'Ubadah that his mother died. He said:
"O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died; can I give charity on her behalf?" He said: "Yes." He said: "What kind of charity is best?" He said: "Providing drinking water." And that is the drinking-fountain of Sa'd in Al-Madinah
No Life Without Water:
Water is a fundamental cornerstone for life on Earth; it's impossible to conceive the existence of any form of life without it. Allah, the Almighty, has intricately linked life to water. The human body is 70% water, and one cannot survive more than seven days without it. What sustains humans also sustains animals and plants. As stated in the Holy Quran: "وجعلنا من الماء كل شيء حي"
(Quran, Al-Anbiya: 30)
Water plays a crucial role in supporting the environment and biodiversity. It significantly contributes to food production and the preservation of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
The Importance of Water Irrigation Projects:
1. Water irrigation projects play a crucial role in improving the quality of life for residents, especially in regions facing low rainfall and drought. They ensure a continuous water supply for daily use, whether for drinking or agriculture.
